The Top Plate Ø 250, measuring 400mm square, is an integral part of your chimney system designed to provide robust support for MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. This top plate, in conjunction with the Top Clamp and Top Insert Sleeve, ensures that the flue liner remains securely positioned at the top of the stack, effectively bearing its vertical weight. Adhering to Building Regulations Document J, this setup is suitable for wood (less than 20% moisture), smokeless coal, gas, and oil appliances up to a searing 600°C (T600 designation). It's imperative that the enclosing chimney is made of sound masonry with proper weatherproofing and flaunching. For optimal functionality and safety, ensure regular maintenance, including at least annual sweeps by a competent person, ideally twice a year for solid fuel systems. Chemical cleaners and mild steel tools should not be used on stainless steel chimneys.
