With its sophisticated powder vitreous enamel coating in a matt black finish, this single skin connecting flue system is constructed from zero carbon steel, promising durability and longevity. It's essential to use the VIT-Smooth pipe as a connecting pipe only, between your appliance and the Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System – never through ceilings or combustible walls. For installation, ensure no piece of VIT-Smooth is placed within 375mm of combustible materials. The proper orientation should have the smaller diameter pointing downward to retain condensate within the system. While the VIT-Smooth features a friction fit joint that doesn't necessitate sealing, using fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant can provide additional security. Regular maintenance, including annual sweeping of chimneys serving solid fuel appliances, ensures optimal performance and safety.
