In line with Building Regulations Document J, this accessory is designed to enclose the flexible liner within a masonry chimney, avoiding non-masonry enclosures such as timber or plasterboard boxing. Bottom fixings, crucial for creating a gas-tight seal, should be securely attached using fire cement, ceramic rope, or high-temperature sealant. For optimal performance, regular sweeping and maintenance by a HETAS registered sweep is recommended.
