Rockwool Tubes effectively minimize the risk of condensation within the flue, especially crucial in large open chimneys or those exposed to severe weather conditions.Not only do these tubes maintain structural integrity by resisting vermin and discouraging the growth of fungi, mould, or bacteria, but they also boast an impressive operating temperature capacity of up to 500°C. The 25mm (1 inch) thick insulation is available in three diameters to fit common chimney liner sizes: 140mm (for 125mm or 5 inch liners), 169mm (for 150mm or 6 inch liners), and 219mm (for 200mm or 8 inch liners), with the flexibility to trim for a 175mm (7 inch) liner.For optimal installation, secure the Rockwool Tube to each 1m section of flue liner using self-adhesive foil tape, ideally reinforced with 50mm wide aluminium tape. This product is not suitable for Class 2 flexible liners (gas and oil liners).
