This elbow is engineered to serve as a crucial connecting pipe between your appliance and flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. The EuroSW1 is not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls. Installation requires careful attention, ensuring the smaller diameter points downward to retain condensates within the system, thereby preventing any external leakage. It’s a friction-fit design, eliminating the need for joint sealing, although a jointing compound such as fire cement or high-temperature silicone can be added for extra security. EuroSW1 pipes can be cut to fit specific requirements, but exposed steel should be treated with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting.
